argh brain stop spawning fics

I am not going to participate in the GBB. Modding it is enough - too much, actually, since I”m in the last few months of writing my dissertation. Fic-writing brain and academia brain are incompatible because they both occupy exactly the same space and require the same level of single-minded obsession. So I am not writing any more longfic until I at least have a solid, complete draft.

This is why finishing This widespread realm (and thus the whole of the MSM verse) is on hold. This is why I am deliberately not planning a destiel companion piece to the Northanger Abbey AU (no, I’m not, and if world-building thoughts occur to me I write them down and store them away and set them aside).

I do not need ideas for a sequel to Nature and Kynde, set in the human world of that verse, which is approximately equivalent to late-18C Europe, told in epistolary form through letters and journal entries between Charlie, Dorothy, Gilda, and Gwen.

(… it would be Gabriel-focussed, though.)

(but see, charlie's parents were killed in a shipwreck a few years ago - not long after N&K - just off the coast, and she was the only survivor and sam found her and did puppy-dog eyes at gabriel and they looked after her. then she went back to human society - Gilda found her and helped her find her way back - and Dorothy von Baum who is a professional Elegant Society Lady who basically runs everything helped her reintegrate into society and claim her inheritance and estate and eveyrthing but charlie doesn't tell her about the angel thing. and now they've found out that the campbells are collecting angels. just like any other wealthy old family might make an exotic collection. like, foreign furniture. or old books. or mythical beasts. and so charlie uses her Connections to Get Close and finds their hunters have just captured gabriel. so then she has to go back tot he winchesters and say I KNOW WHERE GABRIEL IS AND IF WE WORK TOGETHER MAYBE WE CAN GET HIM OUT? but of course they think that, since she's the only human they've ever seen and the hunting happened not long after she left, it was her who told the humans where to find them and oh no, misunderstandings and rebuilding of trust and also balthazar and dean trying to pass as human to ingratiate their way into the old church where the captured angels are being kept.)

Yeah, that's going well for you, not writing that story, I can see that. Continue not writing. :P

(At least you're the one who decided on the deadline, and it is generous, even to people who aren't writing any BB fics. Yet.)

I hear ya. Dammit brain. It never brings you all the fic ideas WHEN you need them, always at times when you can't actually do anything about them, ugh.
